We say the same words. Mean different things. Hear different messages. And somehow still try to meet somewhere in the middle. For this edition of DEW After Dark, we’re exploring the fascinating, and sometimes hilarious, space between how men and women communicate, interpret, misread, react, and connect. Through interactive games, social experiments, conversation prompts, and separate “Mars” and “Venus” spaces, the evening invites guests to observe how differently we can experience the exact same situations, from texting habits and mixed signals to emotional responses, expectations, conflict, affection, and communication styles. The aim is not to decide who is right, but to better understand how differently we move through the world and what happens when those differences collide. Expect laughter, surprising revelations, spirited debate, moments of uncomfortable recognition, and perhaps a few realisations about yourself too. This edition is an exploration of perspective, interpretation, and the complicated little space somewhere between Mars and Venus. To preserve the interactive nature and balance of the experience, tickets for this edition will be released primarily in mixed pairs. The person you attend with does not need to be a romantic partner; it could just as easily be a friend, sibling, colleague, or fellow human from the other planet. Come curious.
